** I'd like to dedicate this image to Shannon (shanpoo) and Kerbad (KerbadM) :-) ** In this image, I wanted to experiment with lighting and with adding a 'red' haze in Painter IX. As for the story (continued from previous post)... "The humming sound of the magical device, though seemingly faint, had awakened Olgrim and Aoife realised she only had seconds to disappear, before he would catch her scent. She rushed into the hall, stayed in the shadows, sneaked past the library. Down the stairs. At last the main corridor, she thought - and the entrance to the secret passage just feet away. But as her hands tried to push the wall panel, her jaws dropped. The mechanism was locked. She felt a menacing presence behind her. She was trapped. She slowly turned around and found Olgrim staring at her, a threatening look over his face. It was too late. The elven warrior knelt, her mind buzzing with thoughts. She had never fought his kind before. She would beg for her life, confuse the ogre and buy herself some time. Every creature had a weakness and Olgrim was no different. And as she was formulating a plan, in her mind the ogre was already dead..." A friend of mine saw this image over the weekend and said to me... "Did you notice that with your lighting your elf looks topless... Your friend is right, she does look topless which may explain his expression LOL. I love the effect you've used here and this is really an excellent work. Her pose and the ogre are wonderful. Love the storyline and waiting on the next one.

Eheh!! Your friend must have a keen knowledge of the "tactics and strategies for the modern maiden warrioress" tome - why do you think female barbarian fighters use chain mail bikini (the famous "victoria not-so-secret collection!!) - confound the enemy and strike at the weakest part!! (ouch - right now i feel for the poor ogre...) A beautiful image - the lighting (topless-effect or not) is very beautiful and effective - can i hope to actually see the end of this one story? tail poke ;)
