Oh my Nanook! It's brrrrilliant!Love the blurry icicle and the oh so sharp drop.Certainly one of my favorite images of yours. It's so hard to be original with drip-shots and yet you found a way...and how appropriate for it to be ice when coming from our resident eskimo!LOL!You know,it strikes me as a 'winter' version of 'Thorns'...Something about it seems similar...Congrats on this marvelous minimalist capture...made all the more classy by your having it in black and white.OK.Just because you like my absurd swedish...En vilken romantiska istapp!Suh!Hmmmm. Yay!LOL!Sorry Nanook.I'm in a cheeky mooooooooooooood! -M }:03)) -Ooh!Elsie has gained 20 pounds, lol! ;^)

magnificent capture of that droplet, Andreas!! An amazing macro with such wonderful detail on the little bubbles at the top of the drop! and the reflection of the landscape in the drop is stunning as well! b/w was the perfect choice IMO! the actual icicle itself looks like something you'd see under a microscrope! a fascinating and beautiful capture, Andreas! very classy!

Glad to hear you were able to shoot this without a nasty fall. Do water droplets scream as the careen towards the earth? Anway, perfect DOf and focus. I love the little reflections in the watery orb. Well done!!!
