Description

Denise has been a slave of a Ruthan senator for nearly six years. The battle of Dorthipica ended the existence of her own country. Sixty thousand Dorthipican warriors fell to sword and spear on that bloody day. Denise was among the surviving 10,000 warriors. That terrible day was her last day as a freeborn woman. She and her fellow captives were taken to the slave markets of Ruthe, the capital of the Ruthan Empire, where she was sold to the wife of a powerful senator. Denise was treated well. No one molested her. She was rarely punished, and then only for deserved infractions of the household's rules. Denise ate well, had a bed of her own that was reasonable comfortable, and had duties that rarely required great physical effort. Her favorite place was the well on Mount Horan. The latter was the largest of the hills that surrounded the capital city. There was a spring there and a reservoir had been built to take advantage of the spring. Because it was a steep climb, the well was less used than most of the wells scattered around Ruthe. Denise liked to go there to fetch water. Sometimes, she lingered a while, enjoying the quiet and the view of the city below. Here, for a few minutes, she could pretend she was free again. Sometimes, though, the desire to be free simply overwhelmed her and she would sit by the well weeping for a time forever lost to her. I like, Django, like parts of it a lot. Think that the buildings in the back ground maybe could have been something else, but that is just me.Over all well done , keep them coming. Gary
