Description

Another work in progress that I plan to develop more later. Terragen used for the main composition, Photoshop 7 used for the post work.

Exceptional Atmospere in this. Gives a great feeling of peace. And a PS7 user, not many of us around anymore, most have moved on to PS8--CS and PS9--CS2

Great work on the sky here. Seeing the water, I guess that you rendered the image in its final size. If you can, try to render it with a bigger size (like 4000px width) and then resize in postwork. You can sharp in order to have more details.

Thanks for the comments all, and above all, advice. Assuming I understood you (sorry, but my french is rather rusty) Phylloxera, I do agree. I wanted to bring out the vibrant golds in the image, but it seemed to adversely effect the clarity, making it a bit grainy in places. Thanks for the advice Harvis, but what you said ties in with Thelby's comment - this was done on the free version of Terragen. Being an engineering student, I'm having a hard time affording all the hobby software I'd like!

Superb perspective and depth, and I love the mood. Awesome dramatic sky, but I would recommend either re-positioning your sun or work with the simple haze and light decay settings to avoid the pronounced wash. The sense of scale and the water are excellent. Would love to see this rendered in the reg. version with the finer anti-aliasing options utilized..but I certainly understand financial limitations. A great image and moodpiece, as is!

Reminds me of the terrain in the opening window on my TG... gorgeous colors, superb POV and excellent water... A killer sky...
