Description
The summer I painted this, the cycadas came out of hiding.
I found a molted exo-skeleton on the side of the tree outside my studio window.
Fascinating object to study!
Too bad the cat thought it was a fine "crunchy treat".

Dave, I'm not sure I've ever seen a cicada with such nice eyes or good complexion. I am always impressed with your painting talent; your ability to "cross" species to generate unusual and interesting images. Great job!!!!
