Description

Hi everyone! It's been a while. I hope all is well. I've been having trouble with the cold weather and my back, which explains my absence from RR, but I'm working my way back into things. This piece is Pyrography done on Leather...with Watercolors. After I burned the leather, I mounted it on wood with a strong glue. Then I painted it with watercolors and finished it with Deft Spray to preserve the colors. I then took scanned it into Paint Shop Pro 10 and added the burned edge mask, a mat and frame. I also added a rose. There has been no other work done to this painted pyrograph. The pattern was purchased from www.carvingpatterns.com...the Spirit Chief's Large Pattern Package. God bless you all. I have missed you all so very much! Cheryl

Hello there good to see you post again! Thats a lovely teqnique you are using there, interesting to experiment with diffent materials and such! I have to do all sorts of odd stuff with material for my Fashion and textiles coursework, I'll have to try out paints on some of the fabrics and fakeleatherystuff I have :)

Wonderful work Cheryl! It really looks like those feathers must have taken the better part of '05 to complete lol. Like you, I have been away for quite some time... it is great to both be back and see you back as well. Kudos on a great project my friend.
