Description
I'm reposting this image in hopes of generating a few more comments and critiques I seem to get a substantial amount of viewings which I'm very grateful for.. however I would really like to know what people like and don't like and suggestions for better lighting technigues smoothing rendering. If you have the knowledge or just an opinion of how to make my images better please help me do so and feel free to look at my galleries because, I'm sure those pics could use help too. I just want to be the best digital artist I can be. Thanks for supporting a fellow artist and making me better at what I do.......the meterman

I'd be the first to admit that I don't browse the galleries as much as I'd like. But when I do,Boy-! The only thing I can -or should- recommend is that you just keep doing what you're doing- 'cause it's great! Me personally, I might've shown a little more of the girl, but what you've got here is a definate ten!

I realy like this image, I'm a sucka for fantasy. But going on the primise of critique, then I would have to say my problem with this image is depth, point of reference. I'm not geting a real feeling of distance between the female subject and the dragon, foregroud to background, distance is assumed, not felt. The waves don't change much in size given the assumed distance. And a dragon siloutte has been repeated in the background, on the left and right of the dragon. But like I said , thats going on the primise of critique, realy siting here either admiring or picking apart the piece of artwork. The fact of the matter is it's an excelent piece. It's warm color palette contrasts the stark reality of it's dramatic clymactic confrontation, at least thats my interpetation. Maybe the two are buds, who knows lol.Anyways, great work.

If he had shown more of the girl, it'd have to be in a porn gallery! -_^ I personally like the almost monochromatic look of it. All that red and orange just makes the eyes draw to the bluish sward like a magnet. Subtle, yet effective.

I don't know how it is done but there should be some sort of waves around the girl's legs and the dragons tail. For me it makes it look unreal to have no motion.

how many times are you going to repost this in efforts to drum up remarks? Maybe you should try the Poser forum?

Thank you for the suggestions I now see that adding some waves small from the background to the fore ground cound definetly help this image yeah the stamps gave me some problems...maybe they won't make the cut next time. thanks thats the kinda of responses I'm looking for compliments are great but I feel I truely become better with critiques...

This is a really wonderful render. There is a lot going on that I like. But you ask for constructive criticism... the only one I could say would be to remove the statue.. it draws attention, and with all the sparkles, makes the image seem busy. That's the only thing I could think of. But I really like the render! vote

Yup, some concentric waves around the tail and the tip of one wing as it touches the water, along with some interface between water and other objects would lift the realism considerably :D Nce dragon! And I think the lady looks great as-is too!
