Description

The title itself should explain it all. This mural is painted on the side of a building just off the square in Cookeville, Tn. The train station is directly across the street-which is really not used anymore, but I'll post those this weekend. I was unable to find out who the artist was. No one knew except that someone from Tenn. Tech. college did it the same week of 9/11. So I'm sorry to say that I'm not able to say who this awesome artist is. I'm paying tribute to him/her and our country and patriotism today. No matter what country you're in, celebrate your life today!!! May everyine have an awesome Friday, and an wonderful weekend to come! Lots of love and hugs, Velvet.

That is an amazing mural. My in-laws live in a small FL town called Lake Placid that is known for its many murals.

I love seeing stuff like this. I should be taking photos of the ones around me too. We all know they won't be there forever. Very nice.

I love murals and this is an excellent work by an unknown artist. You've done a splendid job of capturing it here too (with the equipment you have). I bet you can hardly wait for your new camera, I know I'm looking forward to enjoying the works you create with it! Have a most wonderful weekend Velvet! ;^)

This is a beautiful display of smalltown America. I love this piece not just the painting on the wall but the way you apporached it with your cam. Do you have any more can you go back and take lots from different angles and with people staing infront of the building? Excellent work of art
