Description
The next stage of my palm. A few tweaks on the branch and leaf diffuse. I have made the branch distribution more 'uneven/natural' which should also vary from tree to tree when rendered in groups. I have added some low hanging dead stuff which is created using a superb photo as a visual reference.
Also I have built a simplified version of the tree for those people who do not like long render times :P Basically the canopy has less leaves (and therefore slightly larger leaves to fill up the space).
Trunk displacements were one of the first things I did and although not very visible from the first WIP due to the cameras distance from the tree, were there. So here is a close up.
Render times are all on the image itself. I will be doing some test renders soon of groups of the tree (for Al :)).
All built using MJT branches
Thanks for viewing
EDIT: I suppose I should tell you my basic specs to give you an idea of the render time: AMD athlon 2500+ Barton (no overclock here), 1GB RAM, Win XP Pro
