Description

It's been over a week since I last posted something. Been out of town and also working on some photomanips for a contest. This morning I went out early to shoot some buffalo at a nearby buffalo ranch. I didn't get any great shots ..they were kind of far away..I also found this neat cafe that had a ton of various kinds of birds all around it. So naturally I pulled out my trusty and went crazy..During my shoot, I heard the gobling of some turkeys. They came right up to me for some close ups, but when I tried to leave they went after me..trying to peck me in places no one should get pecked...I then pick up a garden hose that was laying there which scared off the turkeys..No I didn't hit or skirt them. I quickly left the area..lol...I guess they were trying to get even for Thanksgiving...lol.. The hand pic was really weird. It was laying in a dirt road next to the buffalo ranch..it's a manikins hand..not real... EVERYONE HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND ENJOY TODAY

I was wondering where you were. lol. Where is this buffalo ranch. I have been looking for one and never came across one. LOL.It looks from the mountains that it must be down 1-40 near Galisteo ?? It is fun to guess.. I have only lived here for um, 14 years. lol. I would love to know where it is, if you dont mind. Did you go to the Cafe on 1-14 for the peacocks etc ? I cannot remember the cafe name but it is a place people love to go. Great desserts !! Little know fact : It is Robert Redford's favorite restaurant here. lol. Didnt I just make your day. It is so much fun to view your images because it is like seeing my home state through someone else's eyes. Great fun. You collage of photos certainly gives people a sense of New Mexico. Excellent work !!

Very cool shots of domestic animals. That bison looks mighty tasty!! Yum! Sorry to hear about the turkeys trying to peck you in personal ways. There's bound to be a "pecker" joke in there somewhere, but I'll leave that to someone with a better imagination.
