I'm a software engineer by day. I spend my time pushing ones and zeros around, which is not as easy as it sounds. They're slippery little devils.BIOI discovered fractals in the mid 80's with Fractint on what must have been a 25 MHz processor. Around 2001 I upgraded all the way from 400 MHz to 1.8 GHz, and thought about making fractals again. I discovered Fractal Explorer, and later XenoDream. These days I use mostly XD and MBF, with an occasional image from ChaosPro and Quasz, since I've always loved quaternions.
For my photography I use a Canon 30D. My primary lenses are a Canon 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 EF DO IS USM and a Canon 24-105 f/4 L IS USM.

I know what you mean about the rain, some nice greenery and trees are wonderful!!!!! Is this a creek that leads to that lake way back there???? otherwise, it's a very small lake?? ;)

I just looked at a topo map to see if I could find the name of the creek, and to my surprise, this is an outlet, not an inlet!! I must really be losing it, if I can't tell which way the water is flowing any more. LOL. It's actually the Lost Lake Branch of the Hood River. And yes, the lake is back there in the distance. I have one or two good pics of it that I may post.

Ah, my home State of Oregon, such scenic beauty. Just when I think I'm about to miss it I remember where I am now (NC), then the feeling of homesickness passes. Really great capture of this beautiful scene Dennis!

This is one of my favorite lakes and areas to visit. It makes me want to get my canoe out and head to Lost Lake but I think I'll wait for a day with less rain. A beautiful picture.

So very "Oregon" with the downed timber and the crystal water. Also, the RAIN. But hey, it's what keeps this paradise lush, so I can't complain. A beautiful capture!
