He belongs to a friend who dearly loves him and
takes excellent care of him, as you can tell...

Great picture but tell your friend he has metabolic bone disease and is in poor health. UVB and UVA lighting is probably insufficient and even a proper nutricious diet wont amount to much without it because he can't metabolize his food. Lower jaw is receded back and eyes are a bit poppy. Another year and his kidneys are going to fail. This is not an easy animal to keep healthy in captivity. U.S. alone kills approx 500,000 green iguanas prematurely per year by keeping these spectacular creatures as pets. Many iguanas are already on the worlds endangered species list.
