OUTSTANDING! You are doing well in Bryce. I don't know if I'll ever get back to that program. I like both of your images. But I love to see sunsets.... ALWAYS! :)

You are coming along so well in this Evie, I'm so proud of you!!!!Love the colors in the top one, a sort of surreal landscape, love them both truely, the sky in the second is delightful, but I like the colors of the terrain in the top one... :) I'm in awe of this Evie, you go girl!!!!

see you playing with the sky and all cool work

I like the top. There is a poetic, a little lonely feeling there. I love that. Very effective lighting of tree. It's great!

The textures on the tree should go up it vertically (except the leaves, silly!) The cloud shadows may be too stong because they are too low in a scaling that just does not work like that. The rock needs a texture that rolls over it's sides and some chipping to avoid the machined from a steel ingot look. This all happens to each of us in the beginning. Your overall excellent sense of beauty will shake off this wet behind the ears dampness.

You're doing great Evie! Like both but prefer the lower one for it's more natural look.

Excellent job Evie! Your doing a great job on Bryce. Be proud of yourself!

Now I'm really impressed. Finally, a full Bryce without any obvious touchup.. Congrats Evie. Now I only have two small suggestions... Like Dale mentions.. Use a different texture on the rock slab to make it look more like dirt.. Ie. Clay. Right now it looks a bit like marble. 2nd.. You must have a light close to the top of the tree. Kill it! Or if the scene is too dark without it.. Move it much higher so it lights up everything evenly. You can set the range on the light to NONE.. turn off the shadows for that light.. and then reduce it's brightness for a natural ambient look to the whole scene. Anyway, except for the funny lighting on the tree top, the whole scene works pretty well in both versions. I know the effort required just to get this far is very significant but please don't give up.. You almost have it perfect. Soon, you will be making fantastic scenes like this (easily) to serve as backdrops or foundations for more complex images if desired. The sky is the limit! Rock-On girl! Your doing super Eve and just keep banging away at it.. Huggles and a big Vote with thunderous applause from Dave :^)
Silkylady
Evie, you are doing much better. As dave said, the lighting should be up above the pic, to make the whole pic lighter. Keep on trying Hon, for you get better and better...VOTE...Silkylady...
