Description

Hello all!! Yesterday , I put up a cave taken in Valley of the Fire and mentioned that I saw antient rock art made by early Indians in Navada. Nogo ( Akime)asked to see some of the example. So I put together a collage of the rock art last night,. Akemi ( Nongo )this is for you!..you are a wonderful photographer - i enjoy your work! Native American rock art, people often use the words petroglyph and pictograph interchangeably but they really are two different things. Petroglyphs are etched, carved or gouged into the rock whereas pictographs are simply painted onto the rock surface. SO here are a few gathered examples of prehistoric Indian petroglyphs! They are sometimes difficult to find locations of these marks that have been scratched into the rock surface. I found many and choose a few to show you today. The images are usually found in areas of 'desert varnish'

This is beautiful Kimmers. The photography in each of the five photos is excellent. But what really makes this work for me is the presentation you've done here. I love the icons you've added to the black areas, and the frame totally rocks! Magnificent work Kimmers, simply awesome! PS. The synopsis is really excellent too, nice dedi!
