Description

We started this walk on Saturday in the dark with a dramatic moonset over Loch Morlich. We went over Cairn Gorm at about 4200ft and down toward Loch Avon, before climbing Bynack More and a 10Km walk down to Glen More. Its been stormy here all week but on Saturday it broke and we were treated to a clear sunny day. Its weird to be out in this kind of almost Artic landscape, in the middle of January in a tee-shirt. Global warming?....Phah!

Nice postcard shot, Anthony. Glad you enjoyed the weather. I was huddled in my parka last weekend, shopping with my daughter, when we spotted some teenage girls wearing cut off shorts and sporting bare midriffs. Despite the old 'hard man' image that the city of Glasgow has, I did not spot a single t-shirt clad young male. But yes, I have walked out in short sleeve shirt, heavy worsted trousers, and photochromic safety glasses, in the middle of winter on foot patrol in the east end. Regards, John.

Oh wow, a fantastic vista here on this partly snowcovered Scottish landscape! What a joy! A genuine treat for the eyes! Excellent work, Anthony, love to see this all under a blue sky with those sunrays!
