I want you to know that my opinion is based on my own experiences. I volunteer here in Vancouver at a place called Community Kitchen, in a nutshell it is a place which helps homeless and people with drug addictions. I know a lot of the people who wonder the streets of Vancouver and people who are off the streets and drugs and I can tell you that none, absolutely none of them can manage to arrange a sentence that makes sence, and their body has suffered the abuse and shows in their face, their skin, etc. When I first saw Mr James Frey on the Oprah show, I thought he could have not been what he claimed to be, an alcoholic for 10 years and a crack addict for 3 years, trust me when I say this, he doesn't fit the profile at all. This image just refelcts a Street worker in a subway station which was colorized to resemble a gate to hell, and a book which claims that by just saying to yourself "Hold on" everything will be ok. I have lived with people who have been told hundreds of catchy phrases, to have them stop and I can assure you that it doesn't work that way. Mr. Frey is laughing every time he goes to the bank, while hundreds of people bought his "Memoirs" which is nothing more than just little lies.
