Description
The northern corries of the Cairngorms.

From the plateaux we wandered along the top edge of deep trenches and chasms and stared down into wind scoured corries.
We were totally alone on a perfectly calm day, only the crunch of our crampons and the occasional chatter of fleeing Ptarmigan to break the silence.

Nothing like a fleeing Ptarmigan to make your crampons crunch. A nice place to stop for a cuppa... is it that Ptarmigan? ;]
