Description
As the time in my life moves on forward
And my sorrowed and aching dilemmas swell,
I am perplexed by an unanswered question,
Of a predicament I have come to know well.
If to another heart your care is given,
Whether it be a lover, family, or friend,
And you find their love is lost or scorned,
Tell me-how and where will that love end?
Some men have said love is an arrowed spirit
That with intent makes the world go 'round,
But what is pierced if not the archer's quarry-
Graves of aimless passion I've not yet found.
Love has come and love has gone
Throughout my now advancing years,
Yet the love that lies in limbo,
Is still the love which draws most tears.
My dreams hear the pasts faint yet beating heart,
With love cut so deep it puts to shame the knife.
A love some say is dying-a love some call a corpse,
The love my soul cradles as it once was called my life.
As my mind gathers the pieces of my hearts broken history,
I pray God's holy grace will close this sad chapter's lost story.
While tears plant the seeds of hope in misery's barren garden,
I wait for love's burdened flight from its lonesome purgatory.

For those I love who are unable to love me back. It was misunderstood circumstance that clouded your vision to my soul. My love was always true-and it will always be here waiting for you.

excellent writing. I have not the patience for it

Wonderful, written piece! Reminds me of the old saying, "You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink". I guess all one can ever do is to 'offer'. Peace, to you, kind soul. T.P.

In my experience love may be bruised, beaten, and too painful to remember; but, seldomely does it actually end. That might actually be a release if it did. Wonderful work, keep them coming!!!

Love when it is meant to be will see you no matter what the misunderstood circumstance. Love cannot be possessed it possesses you. Once you have tasted love it's already enriched you and it's essence will always be with you. Its there in your heart. See it. Let all the good things about the love you felt sustain you.

I'm always pleased to find another writer. Love is sometimes just "stale horney." Trying to redefine what was once cookies and cards and a warm house from the oven always on into a linkage in a major metropolis can lead to a lot of lost moments. One can drive along miles and miles of dairy herds, or wander over hills rumbling with oil pumps. Yet in the blue sheen with cable reels and a fishtank while the decibels soar everyone has a fixed orbit like a bumble bee and there are no chance meetings. Assumptions are made. The plot shifts. There are no takers.

Another strong and moving poem! For the most part, I think love is timeless, endless. That is why the love that lies in limbo is the love that draws the most tears. In limbo, there is no resolution, no going forward, no closure. We are stuck in that place with love that hurts.

...This is so beautiful... You have no idea how this relates to me right now. I checked your gallery to see if you'd uploaded any more writings (I haven't been to your gallery in a while) and lo and behold, this beautiful creation greeted me. Thank you for such a lovely, lovely post.
