Description

I've never been able to paint or draw, ...never had an art lesson in my life. I can doodle like crazy while talking on the telephone, :)), but was always too intimidated to try to paint. PainterIX has inspired me to try to learn. I've bought books on painting, drawing animals and wildlife, three very inspiring books by Ballistic Publishing... (the Painter book hasn't arrived yet, I can hardly wait!), but it's still a learning process. While this may look very infantile to an accomplished artist, it was two weeks of hard work....beginning from my pencil sketch brought into Painter with some color and contrast adjustment in PSP. On my office computer, this looks oversharpened. If you'd like, you can see a better version of the details in the larger original 1700 x 2338 image .... Here(www.cavalierladyfractals.com/Painter32.htm , just in case I didn't type that link correctly.) It's a 1meg image, sorry, but I'm printing it out on paper. Thanks for looking, I really appreciate it ..... Maria

I'm a professional painter, and I think you've done a terrific job!! What I like is that I feel energy and life when I look at this image. Your composition and airy colors are lovely. So much variety, yet not overdone. You are definitely on the right track. Keep your own style. It's a winner!!!

Excellent, it looks really good to me. I looked at the bigger one as well and see a little difference on some of the edges but that's what happens when you resize something this much. Really beautiful and lovely work!

Just wonderful. The perspective of the deer is a little off to me, but that could just be me. It is excellent. Wish I could do so well.

Very beautiful. I wish I had this talent. I don't find it infantile. More like naive painting

I realy like the fairy tale quality. Kids must love this. The fact that several elements are out of touch with their neighbours only reinforces this. Children seem to look at the world in a telescope mode and this image would do GREAT as a graphic in a book for kids. Realy gorgeous stuff, Maria!
