Description

Photographies made with my Nikon D70S and a Tamron lens 18-200 mm. Little postwork with Nik Color Effect Pro (filter "Classical Soft Focus") and framed with Photoshop 7 These are the last shots of this serie of women in golden rice... Always in the province of Chantabury, not far from the sea. I must had something for Ray.... Ray there are no shot about me cutting the rice.... sorry, lol !!!! We stay for a short time with these women, we have "speak" with them for some minutes, give them to drink (it was so hot this day !) But someone was looking at us, a man, probably the one who have the field. And we have understood that it was better if we let them work.... Sad world.... and these women are really doing a very hard job ! I want to make an hommage to both of her, in each country of the world... They are fantastic !!!!!! I've made these shots with an exposure of 1/60 sec and a diaphragm of 5.6 - ISO 200. The previous post of this serie :

A wonderful dedication to hard working women. I know these women work hard, but I feel certain there must be some good feelings of accomplishment when their work is done. This is their food. I find myself thinking that some of the younger generations in our country would benefit greatly if they had to work like this. Some of my grandchildren don't really know what HARD work is. What a pity. Thanks for stopping by my gallery and writing such a nice comment. You surely know how much I enjoy your photos and those of Giancarlo.

Beautiful captures of the working women here, a fabulous hommage indeed! Too bad when they're suppressed, and it happens on samny place in this world! Behind the curtains of a superficially happy looking country there can be a devastating tragedy going on! :( Will it ever change? I relly hope so! sigh Excellent work, Nathalie!
