Personally - and I'm no critic - I like both versions, each one has its own message and its own drawing power. Some may love the graphic of the first one, while Harley purists will love this version. Art is always a matter of personal appeal, and if I've learned ANYTHING in my life as an artist - it's that you can't appease everyone with the same rendering, and it's senseless to try. Keep both interpretations my friend - even create others with the same design. The logo itself is powerful and appealing.
