Description
This's a wheel which I made, by reading three seperate tutorials and using combinations of the skills and procedures taught in each. It isn't meant to be any specific wheel design, just a generic car wheel that I did to learn how to do them, and how to work on reflective metal textures. Rendered in Hammersley, took about 15 minutes. Comments and suggestions welcome :).

The modelling looks great! I really like that this really is a one-piece wheel, modelled as one-piece. I could never really figure that out. Could you share us the links of the 3 tutorials? The material looks a bit too relfective maybe, but I don't want to really comment on that as I couldn't make a decent wheel material myself. The only thing thats strange is the hex-screw haveing the same material maybe, but thats for later :D

Yep. It was all modelled as one piece, apart from the centre hex screw, which was a seperate one-piece construction. Hopefully the management/admins etc won't mind me giving you the links of the other tutorials which I used, which are: http://www.danielbuck.net/index.php?page=chrome_tut/chrome_tut Daniel Buck's Chrome/Billet texture Tutorial http://www.cg-cars.com/forum/showthread.php?t=279 "Dave3D"'s tutorial on creating Alloy wheels, and: http://www.tutorialized.com/tutorial/Modeling-a-car-rim/9072 Tutorialized/3DNuts's Tutorial on modelling a car rim. Happy Modelling :).
