So sad. No war should be forgotten, but is glorification really needed? I'm sure you must have went through an emotional rollercoaster here. Simple but powerful shot.

Careful, Iran says this never happened.

I don't understand that comment!! ???? We should never forget what happened, and there is nothing wrong with commemoration, respect, and remembrance.

"Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it," George Santayana. The evil that was loosed on Europe that casued this is alive and well today as it has been for millennia and it will never acquiesce to appeasment, only use it tacticlly to get a leg up on the innocent. One must be diligent against such madness, you cannot give it it's head. Thanks for the reminders!

Many years since my German classes in college, but I can still read enough. A powerful image. Larry-L, you speak the truth. We must never appease.

I am German and I understand what this says, and I realise this is about Auschwitz. This touches base with me on a very personal level and Im very glad that you posted this. I saw your other work before and it is equally well done. These are all very dramatic postings and I applaud you for the originality of it. ~Lashia~

The deep impressions left like an echo of the crying voices of those slaughtered for the ideology and hate of one supported by many ohters. Incredible, but it can happen soon again, Uganda, Darfur, Iraq, Congo, Vietnam, ... and wherever the concept of 'Untermensch' is used (also in slavery) the abuse of mankind can lead once again to slaughtering those seen as inferior despite all the good will of the United Nations.
