Description

HI EVERYBODY!!!! Finally got a chance to use my new camera! My husband and I took the dogs for a two hour walk around the lake at Cane Creek Park yesterday. It was VERY cold! My fingers felt like they were gonna fall off by the time we were done! My hubby would be talling me "Whaaaaa!". Haha! To me nothing is very pretty around here in the winter, so I'm not very satisfied with ANY of the shots I got yesterday. They all just look so blah! But, here's one of the Nature Area. In the spring and summer this area is just over loaded with every type of animal you can imagine. All having their babies!! My kids catch baby snapping turtles and bring them home for a little awhile then let them go again. Hope everyone has a great day! Thanks for viewing and commenting. Lots of love and hugs, Velvet.

Honey I know what you mean about everything looking so drab during the winter months. I'm so used to everything being all green and pretty here. I have a hard time adjusting to the winter browns. I can just imagine how lively this place is in spring & summer time. Now that you've got your new toy... can't wait for the warm months.

Have fun Velvet! Maybe go for closeups or something till it either snows again or spring [spring, sigh] finally heads back.

Excellent shot of this beautiful landscape. I know what cold fingers are. When I took my last shots of the Heidelberg caste it was very cold too, -6C/21F. I'm also waiting for summer!

Oooh, I like the new camera Velvet! Sure looks like it is capable of taking beautiful pictures, this one certainly is (save for the datestamp, lol). Nice scenic!

Winter marshland has a beauty all its own. Don't toss this shot. Show us what it looks like in spring, summer, and autumn for a great series!

Really gorgeous shot.. just how l image these creeks .. winter can be a strane Season.. but sometimes the best quality of light.. that golden tinge. season of gorgeous shadows and reflections.. the light is weaker..but more flare. love this landscape artistically seen.. and feel your excitement for a new camera.. have loads of fun.. :))))
