I remember when the F-89's came to replace the F-86's at Wurtsmith. They no longer appeared dog fighting over the lake when we went there. Instead I received a plastic model for my birthday. The probes on the rocket pod noses are unfamiliar to me. The dual nose wheel and short legs avoid the ridiculous look of a Skyhawk on land.

The probes on the tip tanks are not on any pics I have of the aircraft. Possibly added by the renderer. The nose gear should be just ahead of the intakes.
