Description

Bryce 5.5 and Photoshop for signature. This was inspired by a photo I saw today, and decided to try re-creating it in Bryce. The fire and smoke effect is the 'Diagonal Couds' mat applied to a cube and recoloured in the DTE, with 2 radial lights positioned quite low in the centre of the cube. Thanks to Oldworld for some of the trees and others are from my Free Stuff. Buck imported from Poser. Thanks for looking and any comments.....Brian

What a lovely view this masterpiece becomes with the Animal, dramatic light, ambience, contrast and all the beautiful rest. It is a real tour-de-force that inspires the creating process due to the use of the old-master-artisits concepts. I voted for it due to the fact that it shows artistic maturity and it creates a good feeling. Thanks.

Nice - I know the photo. It was from a couple years ago when there were raging fires (don't remember where). But it was in Time and online and I saved it cause it was such a stark image. I instantly recognized it as you recreated it so well. ; )

Awesome colors and trees in the smoke! A very hot feel to the fire! Wonderful reflective look and ripple to the water as well. Excellent job. The only suggestion I might have would be to somehow shadow the shoreline in the center a bit so it's not such a dramatically straight line. Otherwise, amazingly realistic! :-)
