created with Apophysis 2.03b sharpened in PS I have two images of this flame both can be seen at www.grinagog.deviantart.com (yes I have to admit, ive gone over to the dark side! ;) but I post this one here because I think its the better of the two, and here is where my heart/art lies! :)) heheheeee

What a dark and other-worldly image. Very fascinating with the hints and glints of light and colour. I could stare at this for hours. How far did you zoom in, and how long did it take to render?

hehe, It took about 4hrs to render at 2048x1536, so it wasnt so much a zoom, i just didnt reduce the image from its original render! :)

You've been using this chain effect style now for a while and it never ceases to amaze me how you create so many different geometric patterns. Textures, highlights and colours are superb, detail is awesome.

Gorgeous and incredible render! I've rarely seen anything like the clarity and detail you're able to coax out of Apo! That's hilarious you've "gone over to the dark side"! I joined there in July 2004 but never posted until this past December. It's very active there and to me a lot more social! I don't consider it the dark side at all! When I joined, there were almost no fractologists so I didn't get going until Salamah bin Akwa started asking me to "go over" there! Anyway, just tried your link and it doesn't work yet! So please contact me somehow or another. I'd love to see your new gallery.
