Description
Street photography at Dragon*Con (Atlanta) 2005. Didn't know at the time she had two different colors of lenses in her eyes till I loaded the image up. Hence the title (smile).
I think it's a nice photo of a beautiful girl and I wish I could give it to her but, well, one doesn't approach someone like that and offer to send an image later if she will only give a way to contact her via email, especialy if you're a male photographer. Sigh...those are the times, I guess.
Canon 20D (70-200) at about 30 feet.

I would have definitely approached her! She's beautiful! And if you had come off professionally and not crude like a lot of men do, she would have probably even accepted the offer! Beautiful capture!

Nice portrait of this pretty girl! I should have prefer to see her real eyes, those lens are really strange! But she has a wonderful smile! Bravo!!!

I agree with mommavelvet9999, a little politeness goes a long way.

Thanks for the feedback. Yes, an aire of professionalism goes a long way and my wife was with me (though getting ready to be in the costume parade so she was not by my side) so it may have been OK. Had I a business card of some sort, that may have been a way to add a professional touch as well...telling her to contact me if she wanted a copy. I think the image turned out well and part of the rewards of photography is to see the look on the face of the recipient. Sadly, I chose to "err" on the side of not making her feel uncomfortable and possibly "taint" her fun. PS: Yes, her teeth seem perfect to me.

I understand exactly your feelings of being a male photographer and asking to shot a pretty lady in the street... This is a wonderful candid portrait ! Excellent work ! :~)

Wonderful capture of this beautiful girl! I can imagine you're restraint, maybe it might help to make a little card on which you write 'I am a photographer and I shot you, if you like to see your picture see http://... etc.', doesn't sound too offensive IMHO. Gorgeous work! :)
