I've been married 17 happy years. I've actually been married 23 yrs, but about 17 have really been happy. =^}
I have twin girls just out of high school.
During the day, I am a Certified Engineer specializing in new construction for my local State Highway Dept. In the evenings I do some web design for the locals : http://www.gratrgraphics.com
I started messing with Terragen, but saw fractals posted and fell in love. Picked up Apophysis and became an immediate addict. The images that I render are a little eclectic, but hey...I like them. Hope y'all do also.
I have also written a tutorial for Apophysis:
Creating and Saving Custom Gradient Packs in Apophysis
You can find it under the Fractal section of the tutorial link at the top of the page or you can view it at it's alternate site:

I think it's lovely! By framing, do you mean the cropping of the image in a pleasant way, or adding an actual frame? I might crop a little of the top blue section, but that's just my opinion.

I would be happy to create such an image... Who cares for the title?

By framing, I mean composition. I tried this horizontally and vertically...vert feels better. Different zooms...this is close, but you might be right about pulling out a little of the blue. I did want the center of the fractal to follow a "third"...about a third up from the bottom and right. I guess it's really just subjective...just that I spent literally several hours trying to get this to feel right within the four sides.

wonderful :)

Yeah, it's still a very nice image. Almost festive with a nice celebration of complimenting colors and lights.

I think you did an excellent job on the design, colours, texture and lighting!

Very nice effects. Almost looks like ribbons. Great color choices also.
FireLily
Excellent lighting and depth!

Yes, I've found a few fractals like that. This looks beautiful! Wonderful details 'n' textures. Fantastic depth 'n' lighting! Excellent piece! V (:

How about "twisting metal" or simply "connected". Whatever the title, the image has gorgeous colours, shine and texture. And I agree with Panny about cropping out the blue. I'd make the image just a bit more square so you have a "circle" at the bottom (like you have now) and a "circle on top. Excellent work!

Gary, this is excellent++ stuff. Besides the gorgeous forms of the ribbons, you did a tremendous job on the coloring. Just adorable. I'd like it framed and hanged (on my wall)!

Titles are frequently hard, especially after naming lots of images already. I like this one just like it is. I think the blue at the top shows the progression of the gradient and helps give depth to the image.

I think this is perfect as it is. Wonderful colour including the blue area. I think it's great you have take the time to add so much to this image. The texture and detail add a lot of interest and encourage the viewer to look deeper into your composition.
