Description

Good evening all. I did this one tonight after my work. I was surfing the net to look some colouring tips and I found a nice tutorial "Shedding Some Light on the Subject". This tutorial is from John Rauch. You can found it at: www.pensnpixels.com. I think every biginner like me should read John Rauch's tutorials. They are excelent. Anyway, there was one tutorial about adding lights like I said, and I downloaded the lineart and tried it. It's not a step by step tutorial, John Rauch is just explaning the basic and try to break the rules of adding lights. I tried to apply the theory he was talking about on this image. And here is the result after 7 hours. This piece was penciled by Jon Sommariva (Red J) of Led Heavy (www.ledheavy.com). Inking was made by John Rauch and the colours by me (pu-sama). Comments and critiques are aways welcome. :)

Very well done. I really like your shading on this one. Very painterly looking. The lighting turned out real well too.

I would say that this is more than the work of a beginner artist, looks really good.

This certainly doesn't look like the work of a beginner, for sure. You have enormous potential! Great work!
