Description

This is the view of South Block from the first floor of the North Block from a beautifully carved window (which is not visible in the dark here). However, if I remember right, I have posted a day time view from the same place..... for that you will have to browse my Gallary. This shot was a bit tricky for me if you can visualise my position as I explain it. Agreed, it was a nightscape but the settings that I used were not what you would use for an ideal nightscape view. For one, the corridor of the building on which I stand is a ditto copy of the building you see in the front and it was equally lit. Plus...... both buidings put togather were glowing with 75000 bulbs of 100 Watts each. So, it was really not a nightscape... there was so much glare and light. To capture the outline clearly, I had to tone down my settings so that I do not capture too much light and glare thereby obscuring the beautifully lit bulbs. Oh yes, the water pool in the centre added to the view and I am glad I captured it all. Last year, I was more fortunate as I was more enthusiastic and captured many more images from down below the Raisana Hills. As for this years Republic Day.... this is the best I could get plus the Fly past that I had captured. Thank you for your view , comments, critics. :O)) SNAKEY

Well done Raj. Not an easy thing to capture. =] The reflection is great and I DO remember your other posts of this. I would rotate the whole image slightly counterclockwise to get rid of that tilt though. =]
