Hi everyone.Surprise!!!For the first time in ages,I'm actually uploading again,in the same week! I honestly can't remember the last time I did that,lol.
And I may even upload again!Ha! ;^)
The truth is,I have been working and reworking,(and reworking and reworking!) some images...and the more I work them,the more likely I am to kill them completely,lol...So,I get frustrated with them and ultimately put them away...
This is one of them...of my daughter,Paige. And I think I may have finally done a decent job with it...So here it is.Yaaaay!One down!!! ;^)
For the record,there are two people,and they know who they are,who've been 'on my case' about my not posting enough...And if it weren't for them,I probably would never post,or hardly ever.So I want to say thank you to them,for their belief in me,and their wonderful support.This one's for you...and the next one...and the next... ;^)

Paige Two??? YOU HAVE MORE THAN ONE???? AWWWW!!! Wow! Theres so much to be said about this photo so i dont even know where to begin. First of all...i dont really see how you could ever fail with a subject that beautiful. You did an amazing job on it. Her skin looks flawless. And the smile and head-tilt is also just perfect. And will you look at them tiny hands..awww! Oooh oooh...and then...your presentation. Frame-less....oh soooo classy. How come i never thought of that, lol. You did a wonderful job and im sure Paige Two will be incredibly pleased with the result. Have a superb weekend Marlene!!!! #:O)....edit: MAS4EVA....duh!!!! LOL.

beautiful portrait, indeed; agree with Andreas, but: the smoothing of the skin on face and fingers does not really match, perhaps I'd preferred less smoothing on the face (but then well the blain(?) under her right eye...)

There wasn't a whole lot of smoothing,to be honest...I did have to remove sparkles that were all over though,lol. :^)

Ahhh you finally did it.I also say you have excelled in the portrait style of photography too. Back in my older days we would say this is a 10...and not your image hehhee. Anyways the highlights in hair show really well as do the sparkle inside eyes.Right down to the angle of Paige's head you have accomplished I believe, what you wanted. I did notice some sparkle above her left eye. She is very beautiful, and she looks to be about my age. HEHE. I love her smile, and she looks deep in thought. Love her dimples. Sooo cute.

First of all, you have a very lovely daughter, you are blessed! Of course the acorn doesn't fall far from the tree! ; ) Second, you should listem to those two people and post!! The inner voices are fine to keep us in "Check", but you can't listen to the inner voices too much (Remember Lizzie Borden!) You are an artist, and you have to find ways to express yourself! Your photos are wonderful!! Now this image may have been hard for you, because you are so close to the subject (Figuratively) and you may have waffled on the treatment, but it looks great!! A lovely portrait!! Now go shoot more!!! Post!!

You have a very beautiful daughter and I can see much of you in her and in her eyes she reveals her love for you. Mutual respect between the two of you. So you have been quietly working on refining you postwork all this time? I know what that is like and I am sure you have noticed, you then want to redo all the previouos images. If you have not, you will at some point. Now I am a little puzzled as to where you have applied any postwork, your all such beautiful people. Thank you for sharing.

I bet Paige two doesn't fall too far from the tree. ;] She is certainly a lovely gal, and I sense a warm and caring person there behind the smile. This is a really terrific portrait Marlene, you certainly did her just. If I absolutely HAD to find something to quibble about, it would be the background. This puts in a nice warm home setting, but distracts (IMHO) from the star of the photo, even blurred as it is. Maybe a simpler backdrop next time? A sheet or wall? For me, there are just too many different elements in it. Other than that, I absolutely love it!
