Hello all! Well, i have been i'll so no way to go out and do photo shoots. So i have been cleaning up my files and decided to pull out pictures i liked but never put up this week. Here is Miranda wearing checkers and stripes . I made my own make shift home studio with a sheet and propped lights ..she is a great model but I find the freckles sometime make it not seem as sharp . Any suggestions for freckle shooting. I am still new at this kinda thing! I like her reflective look here. hope you like it! I like the whole compo and the choice of B&W is perfect. IMHO you should not use direct lighting - instead try to use 2 or 3 light sources.

Looks sharp to me. The stripes and checkers certainly stand out sharply and the lighting seems good. I like her expression as well, she seems to be in some other place.

Guess you can use a bleanding brush to to see if the freckles will go away ... this is very good pose and all

Wow! what contrasts...some like portraits sharp and snappy..some don't...depends on the mood your trying to convey...this is a luvly young lady...I would leave the freckles...excellent work...

as long as the eyes and the (glossy) lips are sharp the freckles shouldn't do any harm to such a nice image; some smaller moles could be edited (not here though), but these freckles are part of the person...

In portraits a little softness is usually good as in this one, on ebay you can bid on lighting and have seen them go for as little as $50 which include a light, stand and umbrella, if you take your time there are some great deals out there.
