Description

Camera: Canon 300D Taken in Penola - South Australia. Some postwork - levels & saturation. There was another dead tree in the bottom left corner but I thought it detracted from the main tree so I used the clone tool in Paint Shop Pro to remove it (you can see a residual branch! whoops!) While taking this and a few other photos - the family waited in the car. I thought they were honking the horn to tell me to hurry up but in fact they were trying to tell me that there was a bull in the paddock! LOL

I'm a sucker for dead trees, I think they're the most interesting form to be found in nature and you've captured it beautifully. Didn't even notice you cloned something out, untill you mentioned it. :) A good photograph comes with a bit of a risk sometimes!

Really interesting tree, and beautiful shot. I would have never seen the branch had you not mentioned it! I have a friend that lives in Roxby Downs, South Australia...the pictures that he sends me look like they were taken on Mars. :-)
