We had record breaking rain here yesterday, the poor little spider that lives on my patio had a terrible time staying dry. Thank you for your much appreciated comments and have a wonderful weekend! Wendy Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ30

Wow, this is so cool, you've captured this little guy beautifully too. What a strange looking dude though, that's one fat stinger-looking thingy on it's posterior (shudder). Really excellent capture Wendy, and I hope your weekend is awesomely exciting!

Hey, I don't remember my little 'Pirate faced' spider having a yellow tummy. Is this a different sub species? Poor little thing!!! But this is a fantastic macro. (We got hammered with rain up here in SC too. Wet, wet world then.) V

Wonderful capture, although confusing - what do we see? Is this a spider with a sting, or does this spider carry something with a sting? Thank you for sharing this shot, only one way to shoot it ... in the rain! :)
