Description

It's difficult to pay attention in class. When the one sitting next to you is sending your olfactory senses off the charts. Hormones kicking in at the most inapproprite times, causing the teachers voice to sound like the droning of an 18 wheeler cruising at 80 mph! Yet somehow in spite of it all, we did come out of grammar class with something more valuable than the teacher or the one sitting next to us is aware of. Replacing confidence with youthful arrogance, how a proper noun should be used with care. Learning the proper time and place of it's use. That with time we see there is beauty in the simplicity of the simple noun. Discovering that linking verbs brings about adjectives you never thought possible. How a candle lit dinner for two with soft music and a tender slow dance, brings about the true meaning of adding the apostrophe. Like a cresent moon in a starlit midnight sky... making it plural. ~~~~~~~~~~~ I'm learning Adobe Photoshop 5 LE, this was done with the smudge tool. All comments and suggestions are so very welcomed! I do hope you enjoy the veiw as much as I did creating. Sometimes, a picture begs the words. ~Michelle~

i like your image, but your words were much more eloquent and heartfelt....a wonderful description.....just for the record, at 21 i still have a difficult time paying attention in class sometimes....its just like there is someone channel surfing inside my head....the thoughts are just so sporadic and constantly changing in some weird ways...never understood it....

My least favorite subject was history. The teach kept saying it was important, without it we would be doomed to repeating the same old mistakes. Well, now I'm a bit older and wiser and I have news for him.. I doesn't help.. we still make the same stupid mistakes. I also hated English and Math. As it turned out, it was the teachers I actually hated. The were soooooooo boring. I finally got a few good teachers in late High School years and they really helped me appreciate what I had been avoiding. My grades jumped from D+ to A- in my 11th grade and stayed that way. I was still so lazy, scholastically speaking, and started working a job very early in life. Anyway, beautiful poem and image here Michele. I've always been facinated with the stars. (I'm a romantic science geek, what can I say??? lol) Great job of smudging! I see a man and woman dancing on a cloud.. was that intentional? Hugs from Dave :^) P.s. You can squooshed all you like... lol.
