Description

You know what?, At first, I was going to title this one "The Pass" but when I did a title search in the gallery, There were almost 10 artpieces with that same title!, So I titled it after my 2nd choice; Is it possible to put more noise or texture into the terrain to make it a little more bumpy? Thank you for viewing and,as allways, Comments and suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I like the awesome expanse of land, and the snow cover is great. Suggestion would be to varigate the rock surface a bit with extra layers of grey to even silver tones. Nice lighting, and I like the horizon. When you build the terrain, you might lower the percentage of 'smooth'..and you can bring up the bumpiness of the primary surface layer a bit.

Those distant peaks could be a photograph. Love the soft snow. Linda is right about the surfacing too :)

The terrain is terrific I think. I agree that the rock surfaces where it peeks out from the snow are a little uninteresting. More variety would help. The light is very good. Maybe a little lower camera elevation would avoid seeing the edge of the world at the left. Still quite excellent work.

Distant mountains are beautiful, snow layers are excellent, just a little more detail on the rock faces like the others said, and you will have an outstanding work IMO!

Wonderful sense of distance and depth in this scene! Beautiful terrain, sky and snow layer. The lighting looks nicely realistic also.
