around a warm fire we sat talking and grabbing at the warm a sudden flutter of small wings flew at the upper reaches of the flames as we watched. ...again and again out of the dark right at the flames finally a gentle hand worked to swat it away lunged right back at the flame someone else nudged the fire and said, "hey, reminds me of someone I used to know." everyone quietly sat contemplating the context of the statement "now, let's see, what was her name?" (head -scratch) "oh yea, long straight hair with big sad brown eyes, I remember her face, now?? "what was her name, though...!??!" quiet thunder. light show. out behind big/distant mountain. ...as small wings, cease their flutter....
