Alas, I've read synopses of the show, but have never seen it on our side of the water..I think shows like 'farscape, Serenity, etc' probably owe it a debt. Great modeling there..

Ahh yes. I forgot about those pistols. I got used to the old guns used on the Liberator. The ones that looked like a huge flashlight with umbilical connected battery belt.
