this a picture from Mesa Verde a National Park in Colorado http://www.nps.gov/meve/ check the official link Apparently it is famous for its cliff dwellings from the ancient people, who left their homes there ~14th century and had been rediscovered in 18XX (cant remeber the exactly details). It is fascinating and worth a trip in my humble opinion :-)
