Playing with Dmytry's new Volumetrics beta0.9. Tweaked his "Alien Jungle" to produce this image. Still working on getting more detail on the neurons. enjoy jquest

James, really nice image:) Possibly try making the material slightly transparent & add glowing regions to represent the electrical charge passing along in the brain. I dont know if this is a true representation of a neuron, not medically experienced. Love the image & concept though :))

I don't care if it's realistic or not--this is an outstanding piece of art just as an abstract, perfect in color and composition. Gets my vote!

James: that lighting and those colors are sublime... extremely painterly... a teensy suggestion (and it is itty bitty) would be to focus the composition on something other than the large featureless dark blob in the middle... it lacks the visual information and interest of the rest of the piece.
