Description

I don't normally do sci-fi scenes, but I wanted to try one. The stars were made with Glitterato, the moons were made with Lunar Cell. I hope the moons look OK. I can never tell if I'm getting them right.

Brilliant scene, the moons look great.

Very good first time. Just 2 things though. All of the moons should be in the same phase. They're being lit by the same star(s). No stars should be seen within the crescents. The moons are still circular even if you can't see all of them and so no stars should shine through the discs.

Agree with Mudge01; also, When I put celestial bodies in my renders, I create them keeping in mind that the planet/or moon is'nt darker than the sky that it's in or too contrasty; If that does happen, They'll look like big 100-foot spheres hovering over your terrain a quarter mile away; Really cool job, Please keep it up.

Great work! about the moons: Mudge and majikart are correct, the lit crescents should all be the same phase and face the same way (straight at the sun) Also in reality they would look much smaller (but when is reality any fun?) Look forward to more!

Very neat set of moons! Nice positions for them!!! Many of your terragen pix lack real foliage. I had that problem too. You will get a useful site mail about this from me tomorrow.
