At the moment I feel there's too much white, it's somewhat oppressive. You might like to try selectively darkening areas of the background: this will give the figure (and also the text) more prominence and increase the dynamics.

Wow - nice layout and overall design. Very strong image. I do agree somewhat with Synapse comment but not an overall necessity. Nice Job!
