Description

As I wake I feel the winters embrace coming The geese flying south The air filled with chill Leaves are all gone I start a fire and grab a cup of coffee Slowly wrapping my self with a quilt to warm Fading to a better time so long ago Twinkles in the eyes as I think of you As the alarm goes off I'm startled back to now I fight the tears as your still on my mind A chance never gotten to hold you To show what is true happiness The fire is now embers and the day is to start Off to work I slowly walk thinking of you A tear freezes to my cheek If only one more chance was given I look to the frost on the trees Watching the birds huddle for warmth And a smile crosses my face For now they are us, even if it's a dream 11/04/05 Dee Simpson AKA WhispersSoft
