Wonderful photo! Has a crisp feel to it!! Like the wind might be a bit chilly!

Ahhh, the gray water & sky, the ragged clouds, the silhouette of a broken tree . . and I can almost feel the misty breeze. The atmosphere of a gentle peace with just a hint of foreboding beneath the surface transports me to a different time. Ok, I'm a bit strange, but there you have it. Great shot!

Beautiful photo Rozanne. I really like that narrow crop. I do believe i have to add that district to my to-visit-list. #:O)

"AS the cold aspect of a sunless way Strikes through the Traveller's frame with deadlier chill, Oft as appears a grove, or obvious hill, Glistening with unparticipated ray, Or shining slope where he must never stray; So joys, remembered without wish or will Sharpen the keenest edge of present ill,-- On the crushed heart a heavier burthen lay. Just Heaven, contract the compass of my mind To fit proportion with my altered state! Quench those felicities whose light I find Reflected in my bosom all too late!-- O be my spirit, like my thraldom, strait; And, like mine eyes that stream with sorrow, blind!" - Wordsworth

Oh wow, looking on the map to find this lake was one thing, seeing it through your eyes another! Fantastic capture of this lake with clouds above it in winter mood! Excellent work, Rozanne, a joy to enjoy this wonderful water! :)

Nice, dare I say it for the Lake District, typical shot, Rozanne. Did you clone out the everpresent, everthreatening rain? ;o) Regards, John.
