Description

Finally stopped raining long enough for a quick trip to the shoreline..Actually started raining while I shot this. But it was nice to get out for a change and see some sunshine, even if didn't last all day...Just a simple shot along one of the many stops along this coast..waves were rather small, but that's a good thing if your going to get this close. Thanks for you kind comments on my previous endeavors and hope your weather is kind to you! A great day to all! Aloha from the Big Island!

Wow that is sooo beautiful. I am so jelous of where you live lol. Right now we are -34 celcius not sure what that converts to but...it's darn cold ;) I have always loved the ocean and cannnot thank you enough for taking me to the veiws you share so often. This one is so beautiful it looks finished somehow, you know painted, or rendered. Almost seems something so beautiful couldn't possibly exist. Sigh I am so glad it does.

What a wonderful view! Love the way you captured the light falling across the foreground area, but the crashing wave says it all!

Eh...excuse me Sir? Did you say: "Just a simple shot"???? HOW DARE YOU!!!!! Why i oughta....hmmmm. Im just gonna lift your MAS-membership this once....SLAP SLAP WHACK SLAP!!!!! There...youre back in. #:oP This shot is not simple Dave. Maybe to you, but for the rest of us its not. Just look at how perfectly captured that wave is, and to get that splash with such slow shutter-speed that im guessing you used is nothing short of impressive. Give yourself some credit and a pat on the back, cause you just earned a few. Beautiful work buddy. MAS4EVA!!!!!!! #:O) ALOHAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!

Another great one. Thanks for the comments left at my gallery. I was wondering what shutter speed this was taken at. I'm guessing 1/15th or 1/30th sec.

The timing on this is just perfect. I've tried to catch waves many times and I know how hard it is. With the action and the great DOF this pic has such a dynamic feel to it.
