I don't know what this represents, but it reminds me of Anne Frank's house. She was never allowed to go downstairs. The beams seem to block the exit and look threathening, like the Gestapo who finally arrested the family. Anne Frank's House, of course, can be visited in Amsterdam. This is a work of art, whatever it represents.
