Description

After the long series of Switzerland in the summer I wanted to start a new series, but I discovered I never concluded the February-series of one year ago! So I deciced to continue that series (that's why the counter starts at 10), the February hike of 22 km along the Thuner See (Lake Thun). The flowers of winter jasmine (Jasminum nudiflorum) smile down to me from a ridge a few meters above me. It's amazing flowers like these, together with (not in this image) some spring heath (Erica carnea) and shrubby milkwort (Polygala chamaebuxus) can bloom in this cold season. For those wanting to fresh up the details I add these links but do not feel obliged to visit them, I know you guys suffer the same time limitations as I do:

Beautiful and dainty little flowers. I wonder if they smell as good as my confederate jasmine. This is a beautiful shot that shows the tiny blooms well.

These are "Winter Jasmin" ? Did they have the same incredible perfume as the white Jasmin ???? So lovely to see flowers in winter, it's amazing with the cold how they could grow. Nice shot again my friend.
