Everywhere people with camera's find their way in this world to make their shots. I like the art of taking realistic pictures, because it provides a way to show how I experience this world. It is a way for other people to look through my eyes.Nature ... exists primarily for her face, her look, her appeals to the heart and the imaginationGeorge MacDonaldJan-Carel Vierbergen
Picture courtesy of Ruut WegmanBIOIt is all in the family: love for hiking in the nature. Since my childhood I'm used to walk with father, brothers, cousins, etc., and take pictures (Minolta X-700 with 28-70 mm and 100-300 mm zoom) of what I see. I grew up in Ede (The Netherlands), studied Electrical Engineering in Eindhoven and I am working now as Coordinator e-learning at the Christelijke Hogeschool Ede (http://www.che.nl) where I implement digital assessments for students and assist students in DTP and creating websites.
Since I know little about photographing as well as computer science it was not difficult to find ways for putting images on the web. The only thing to look for now is to find ways for showing the slides in a convenient way. I tried already something at http://www.che.nl/users/jcv (Dutch only, click at Dia's van de natuur in Nederland en de Alpen), but this platform provides good means to share my pictures with others.
I hope you enjoy this!

In a few minutes, I shall go to a secondary school to speak students about Biology. May I have this picture to illustrate what kind of world should we protect?.

The diamond structure of the waves on the blue of the lake avoids all that down and out feeling.
Stringy
Love that intense blue colour in the lake. Also like the dizzying feeling of looking down from a height.

I passed the 'Thunersee' on my way to work this morning (by train). If only it looked something like this. The weather is horrible (much too warm for February) and cannot make up its mind if it wants to rain or to snow! All in all, one of those days when I shouldn't have bothered getting out of bed!

Beautitful crop and composition on this Jan-Carel! I suppose a little vertigo is warranted here, but should be easily overcome by a seasoned veteran like yourself. Such splendor on Gods green earth! Thanks for this early morning treat for my eyes...Aloha!
