Description

Its a shame that vandals had destroyed this shrine on my mountain Mauna Kea. I had posted this shrine before. See "Highest Shrine" . See Hawaii local news "Shrine destroyed" . This image posted here is before it was damaged. The rocks were thrown down the side of the hill and the rest is history. There is no more shrine. Aloha and thank you for viewing

there are various kinds to destroy shrines - only some are obviously visible - others may even be more dangerous and destructive...

Je crois qu'il s'agit d'un acte de vandalisme mais je ne comprends pas bien, si quelqu'un passe et peut traduire; merci d'avance ! la photo est belle et les couleurs aussi !

Generally it is not "hate crimes" or specific motives, as I see it. Mostly just lack of respect and pure and simple meanness...wickedness toward those things others appreciated. I do like the juxtaposed image..with the observatory and the old shrine in this image.

May the parties involved wake up screaming in the night! Some people just can't leave things alone as in this case....I'm sure they will get what's coming to them...thanks for sharing! Alooha

Too bad to see the unknown is not respected by certain people, destroying what they do not know and not knowing how they devastate people! :( I'm very sorry to see this. The clouds on the background, however, look untouched and fascinate me. A weird combination, though.

how very sad, most unfortunate that others are so willing to destroy something like this. I would rebuild it if I were there, kinda stubborn I guess.
